Ariel Romero Koch was born in Carmen de Patagones, in the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina, where he began studying the art of dance at the age of 12. At the age of 17, he moved to Buenos Aires, where he continued his artistic training by attending two schools of art. He studied at the National Dance Academy and at the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música (the national music and acting conservatory) with teachers renowned both at a national and international level, deepening his knowledge in many fields, such as classic ballet, contemporary dance, hip-hop, modern-jazz, salsa, merengue, folklore, argentine tango, acting, clown, singing, living statue, and fencing. He worked as principal dancer in the Classical and Contemporary Dance Company of the National University of the Arts (IUNA) in Buenos Aires, cooperating with international recognised choreographers, and dancing in the most prestigious theatres in Buenos Aires, like Teatro General San Martín, Teatro Colón, and Teatro Nacional Cervantes. He performed in several operas working under contract for Teatro Colón, while making tours in Argentina as co-author and principal dancer in two Argentine tango musical productions. As a dancer, he also participated in various TV programs in Buenos Aires, while working as an actor for cinema and advertising. Now, he has been in Italy for 7 years, where he started his permanent activity as a teacher of contemporary dance and Argentine Tango. He also supervises internships and participates as a judge in various dance competitions. He works with Caterina Calvino Prina as choreographer and he is in charge of the modern dance part of the Ukrainian Ballet productions.
